著名数学家苏步青(1902～2003)出生于鳌江边平阳县带溪乡一个普通的农民家庭。他没有知识分子家庭那种得天独厚的学习环境,然而父亲苏宗善对学习的渴望,对儿子成才的切盼,含辛茹苦的坚韧,决不放弃的执著,终于使两个儿子成才。长子苏步高留学国外成了高级工程师。苏步青呢,正像他父亲满含深意与期待替儿子取的名字一样,平步青云,踏进了数学圣殿。他为一般曲面构作出一个仿射不变的四次(三阶)的代数锥面,被人们称作“苏锥面”而永垂数学史册。 The famous mathematician Su Buqing (1902 ~ 2003) was born in Aojiang River with an ordinary peasant family Pingxiang County.
