Proposals A large number of experimental studies on the shear strength study group have shown that the calculation formula of the shear strength of the flexural members used in the current specification is not safe for the calculation of large-shear cross-convection beams under continuous beam and concentrated loads. In addition, according to the theory of reliability, the normative formula was analyzed. The reliability index β value is lower than the “unified standard”, that is, the value of the calculation formula is too high and it needs to be adjusted. The shear calculation formula in the current specification is mainly based on the test data of a simple beam with rectangular cross section under concentrated load and has limitations. In the ten years after the specification was promulgated, many units conducted extensive experimental studies on shearing problems that are closer to the structural forms and loading methods commonly used in engineering.
