Aim: To study the effect of catalpol on hypothalamus-pituitary-adrenal axis (HPA) disturbance of AD (Alzheimers disease) rats.Methods: Rats were injected fragment 25-35 of Aβ (β-amyloid protein, Aβ) intracerebroventricularly and D-galactose intraperitoneally.30 AD rats were randomly divided into 3 groups: catalpol low dose, high dose (5 mg·kg-1·d-1 and 10 mg·kg-1·d-1) and model (saline).
