The purified Co-Ni residue, in the process of zinc hydrometallurgy, is treated with the hydrometallurgical process. The flow sheet, which is researched by us, indicates that cobalt, nickel and cadmium can be recovered respectively, and zinc can be returned into zinc hydrometallurgy system. Sulphuric acid is used to leach the residue, and the optimized leaching conditions are that sulphuric acid quantity is 1.2-1.4 times to theoretical consumption, temperature is 60℃-80℃, leaching period is 60 min-80 -min., Leaching rates of zinc, cobalt, nickel and cadmium are up to 98% under the above condition.
