Nezha, a microtubule minus end protein, scatters in the cytoplasm as small, distinct clusters, and stabilizes non-centrosomal microtubules and tethers them to the ZA.Nezha depletion alters microtubule and Golgi assembly patterns.To study the mechanisms of Nezha-mediated Golgi assembly, we found that Nezha associate with Giantin, a Golgi marker, and capture free Golgi vesicles by interaction with CG-NAP(also known as AKAP450 and AKAP350).Conclusions: The Nezha-microtubule complex likely represents at least part of the Golgi-mediated microtubule nucleation machinery, in which CG-NAP/AKAP450 have been shown to be involved, as Nezha is embedded in the aggregating Golgi membranes.
