Aims: To confirm the relationship between GDM and adverse neonatal outcomes, the extent of GDM impacts on these outcomes, and which outcome GDM makes most contributions to.Methods: The electronic database Pub Med, Web of Science, Ovid, Elsevier and Cochrane were used to search for not limited to English-language cohort studies published from 1970-2013.Studies provided available data, and in which GDM was diagnosed by WHO (the World Health Organization), NDDG (the National Diabetes Data Group) and C&C (Carpenter and Coustan) criteria, were included.
