An Analysis on Design of MOOC from Cognitive Load Theory--Take the Course of Chinese University MOOC

  MOOC,a large online courses,is essentially a public course.But it is different from the open video courses.The open video courses only provide learning materials,while MOOC not only provides learning materials,but also completes learning experience.Combining with the MOOC in China's Universities and courses of this platform,we analyze and summarize features of the MOOC design as follows: presenting knowledge with modularization; providing sequentialization and contextualization to control the intrinsic cognitive load; effective managing learning resources,presenting learning activities and teaching information to reduce the extraneous cognitive load; exercising random arrangement,the diversification of the sample,and timely inductive learning results and motivation to reduce the germane cognitive load.
