Utilization of microreactors in high throughput chemical manufacturing requires cost-effective manufacturing along scale-up of microreactors. As a result, visual access to the flow region is eliminated and our understanding of flow behavior in these complex geometries becomes limited. We require non-visual and non-distructive techniques to characterize hydro dynamic behavior in these systems for design evaluation.Additionally, these techniques can serve as a diagnostic tool to detect defects associated with manufacturing. In previous work,a sensitivity study was performed on RTD analysis for detecting channel obstruction in micro channel hemodialyzers.
