(1) Objectives of the research To determine a complex firing pattern exhibiting stochastic component in appearance to be chaos or stochastic firing has been a difficult problem in neuroscience.This paper will provide a candidate to distinguish the chaotic neural ISIs series from stochastic ISIs series.A series of spontaneous non-periodic neural ISIs were identified to be stochastic although they exhibited deterministic structures.
