Regulatory T cells (Treg) offer new immunotherapeutic options to control undesired immune reactions.To get deeper insights into the prospects for clinical translation of human Treg subsets, we studied their composition, distribution, function, and T cell receptor (TCR) repertoires by next generation sequencing (NGS).Analyzing 60 healthy donors, we observed an age-dependent shift from naive (TregN) to memory (TregM) cells, dominated by the central-memory (CM) phenotype over less abundant effector-memory (EM) population compared to the respective conventional T cells (Tconv).
