Background Phosphatase and tensin homolog deleted on chromosome ten (PTEN) is a protein that accelerates apoptosis in different types of cells in response to various stimuli and is down-regulated in many cancer tissues.Our Previous studies had demonstrated down-regulating PTEN can lower the myocardial damage by inhibiting PTEN-induced apoptotic pathway following the coronary microemnolization (CME).However,the modulation of PTEN by pharmacological intervention in coronary microemnolization has not been disclosed yet.
