The degradation experiment of cassava starch was made under conventional heating condition by using six liquid acids with different strength such as hydrochloride acid,sulfuric acid,phosphoric acid,formic acid,nitric acid and acetic acid.The primary condition parameters were reaction temperature 120 ℃,acid concentration 5%,solid-liquid ratio 1:5(w/v)and reaction time 1 h.Hydrochloride acid was improved to be the best acid for cassava starch hydrolysis,and the effects of temperature(100-140 ℃),reaction time(30-150 min),acid concentration(1%-5%)and solid-liquid ratio(1:10-1:2)were further optimized for cassava starch hydrolysis.
