Intensive metamorphosed and deformed intrusive (BGN) and volcanic (HH and
HW) suites occur at SW segment of the Micangshan Mountain along the NW margin
of the Yangtze craton. These rocks have long been regarded as Archean to
Paleoproterozoic ages and an equivalent of the Houhe complex (-2100 Ma) in Beiba
area, NE segment of the Micangshan Mountain. However, a comprehensive
geochronological study indicates that these igneous rocks are coeval and were
formed at -880 Ma.
