On the eve of the Second All-Soviet Writers Congress, there has been a heated discussion in the press about the positive figures. A year has passed since then. Of course, this is not the first time that the debate on the issue of positive figures has taken place. However, precisely on the eve of the congress, the debate has reached its warmest level. However, it is entirely reasonable and conspicuous. Regardless of past, present and future, creating the image of the contemporaries will always be the primary task of a real artist. No matter how the work of reproducing events that have long passed can attract readers and spectators, they are particularly anxious and eagerly anticipating the protagonists of their time. However, this expectation is far from being fully satisfied. In this regard, our film business is the most negative to the audience.
