在水电站的建设中,过去和现在都出现过不少机组在运行时因轴向水推力过大,超过了设计值,导致推力瓦温高、瓦面磨损、烧瓦、限负荷运行等。其原因是:上冠向泄水锥内排水减压径向斜孔,起不到排水减压的作用,反而有泵的增压作用;转轮直径大、转速高、旋转水头高,向泄水锥也不能排水减压;
