Chinese art market has entered a new and crucial era. If you want to sum up the most salient features of this era, that is change. And that change is too big and too fast to have too many uncertainties. Although we can not grasp the changes, we must and must also make every effort to understand this era. Even in the midst of riddles, it is no longer easy to see the truth of the matter, but we have no choice but to go through the bizarre visuals and exaggerated rhetoric. Looking back over the past year, the Chinese art market in 2005 did give us too much surprise, even with some “mythical” colors.
