我校医学课双语教学中的一个主要问题是多数学生目前的专业英语能力难以适应双语教学,这主要是因为英语教学与双语教学之间的知识跨度较大而造成的。为解决这一问题,我们在第五和第六学期开出医学英语词汇、医学英语视听说和医学英语写作三门选修课程。教学实验说明选修课有针对性地弥补了学生医学英语能力的不足,加强了英语教学与医学课双语教学的衔接,提高了学生对双语教学的适应能力。
A major problem in Bilingual teaching in our medical school is that most students’ current professional English skills are difficult to adapt to bilingual education mainly due to the large span of knowledge between English teaching and bilingual teaching. In order to solve this problem, we offered three elective courses: Medical English Vocabulary, Medical English Listening and Speaking, and Medical English Writing in the fifth and sixth semesters. Teaching experiment shows that the elective courses make up the deficiency of the students ’ability of medical English in a targeted manner, strengthen the connection between bilingual teaching of English teaching and medical education, and improve students’ adaptability to bilingual teaching.
