This article is one of a series of studies on the quality of life of community people. The results of the study show that the objective quality of life of urban and rural residents is gradually improving, but urban-rural differences still exist. Subjective life satisfaction has a normal distribution trend among urban and rural residents. The inconsistency of this subjective and objective quality of life assessment is mainly related to the individual’s evaluation criteria, demand focus, and other mediating factors. In addition, the multi-factor analysis that affects overall life satisfaction shows that the material living conditions based on economic income are still the main factors affecting the overall life satisfaction of urban and rural residents. Therefore, research on the quality of life should be evaluated from a multidimensional perspective (including the quality of material life) and subjectively and objectively in order to obtain more comprehensive results.
