Preamble During the past two decades, the economies of Southeast Asian countries have grown at a fairly rapid pace. Looking at the average annual growth rate of the average GNP of population: 4.6% in Thailand, 2.6% in the Philippines, 4.1% in Indonesia and 4.0% in Malaysia. Of course, the birth rate of these countries began to decline as a result of the implementation of the family plan after they entered the 1970s, but the rate of population growth remained high. At a time when the population growth rate is still high, the average growth rate of GNP achieved at such a high level shows that Southeast Asian countries are already starting to have an economy that can boost average population income despite the population growth ability.
