萃萃蝇是非洲特有的一种双翅目昆虫,学名为Golssina,萃萃(Tse-tse)是非洲人的俗称。 萃萃蝇的形状很象苍蝇,有牛虻一般大小,头部前方的口器是一根坚硬的吸针,用以吸吮动物和人体的血液。萃萃蝇共有21种,其中60%能传染昏睡病。 萃萃蝇的生活史包括幼虫,蛹和成虫三个阶段,繁殖方式为卵胎生,雌蝇大约每隔10~12天产下一个幼虫。一个雌蝇一生可以产8~10个幼虫。
Striped fly is a peculiar African Diptera insects, scientific name is Golssina, extract (Tse-tse) is a common name for Africans. The flies are shaped like flies and have the size of a cow’s tuna. The mouthpiece on the front of the head is a hard aspiration needle for sucking animal and human blood. There are 21 species of stripped flies, of which 60% can transmit sleeping sickness. The life span of the striked fly includes three stages of larvae, pupae and adults. The mode of reproduction is ovulation. The female flies produce about one larva every 10 to 12 days. A female fly can produce 8 to 10 larvae throughout her life.
