1转基因作物商业化态势作为2006～2015年转基因作物商业化第二个10年的头一年,2006年全球转基因作物种植面积继续以两位数向上攀升,增长率达13%,即增加了1200万顷(3000万英亩),达到1.02亿公顷(2.52亿英亩)。这是一个具有历史意义的里程碑年份,转基因作物的年度种植面积首次突破1亿公顷大关。准确地讲,如果计算应用2～3种“基因叠加”特性在单一生物作物品种中以实现多种优势的“昨日复合民生状面积”,其实际数字应为1.177亿公顷,比估计的1.02亿公顷高出了15%。
