1992年我们做珠海机场候机楼建筑设计时,国内还没有一个机场称得上是现代化的机场,我们也沒有机会出国看看90年代国外机场是个什么样子。现在回想起来简直不可思议,居然硬着头皮拍拍脑袋从建筑设计到室内设计一路做下来,全然是凭着感觉走。1994年建筑设计和室内设计全套图纸出齐,1995年机场建成通航,1998年获教育部优秀设计一等奖,建设部优秀设计一等奖。从获奖的情况及社会普遍的反映、似乎证明当时的感觉没有大错。
When we were designing the Zhuhai airport terminal building in 1992, there was no airport in the country that could be regarded as a modern airport. We did not have the opportunity to go abroad to see what the foreign airport was like in the 1990s. In retrospect, it was simply incredible. I actually ran my head and patted my head from building design to interior design. It was entirely a matter of feeling. In 1994, a complete set of drawings for architectural design and interior design were completed. In 1995, the airport was opened for navigation. In 1998, it was awarded the first prize for the excellent design of the Ministry of Education and the first prize for the outstanding design of the Ministry of Construction. From the award-winning situation and the general reflection of the society, it seems that there was no big mistake in the feeling at that time.
