汉代王充在《论衡》中说:“知古不知今,谓之陆沉;知今不知古,谓之盲瞽。”如何充分利用中国古典文学的丰富资源,在全球化语境中,勇于开拓而不失去自己精神的家园,成为一个知古知今、知中知外的学者,已经不再局限于古典文学研究与国际汉学研究,而成为当代学术研究的共同课题。有感于此,本刊邀集活跃于相关领域的当代学人,以“中国古典文学资源的当代益用”为题发表笔谈。本期推出的一组文章中,美国哈佛大学博士、香港城市大学教授张隆溪先生的《文学理论与中国古典文学研究》意在结合自己的《道与逻各斯》一书,就当前国际汉学与西方理论成果在中国古典文学研究领域的应用提出自己的看法,其重点在于如何正确运用中国与西方阐释学理论与方法。苏州大学教授方汉文先生将视域集中于当前讨论的焦点之一,即如何建立中国文学史新模式的目标上。南开大学教授宁稼雨先生则就当今古代文学研究中跨文化的主题学提出自己的看法。主题学方法近年来在中国古典文学与比较文学研究中均相当流行,如何看待其得失,并使其本土化,如何创建具有中国特色的叙事文化学,是本文所提出的重要问题。北京大学葛晓音教授从广义的国学研究角度进行的反思,会引起更多学者的关注,这也是意料之中的。本组文章与一般流行的笔谈不同之处在于:作者以各自的实际研究成果来展示自己的观念,并不停留于空泛地谈论应当如何,或是就某一个观点展开激烈争论。这未必不是进入21世纪以来文学研究界相当重要的一种理论话语模式。归根结底,并不在于提倡“问题”还是“主义”,而是研究的实绩能说明一切。当然,我们仍继续推出多种形式、多种看法的文章,其中也可能包括有争议的观点,目的在于促进古典文学研究的跨学科与多元化。
Wang Chong in the Han Dynasty said in On Lun Heng: “I do not know what I know about ancient times, but I do not know ancient times, that blindness.” How to make full use of the rich resources of Chinese classical literature in the context of globalization, the courage to open up Without losing their own spiritual homeland, becoming a scholar of ancient, modern, and Chinese intellectuals is no longer confined to the studies of classical literature and international Chinese studies, but has become a common topic of contemporary academic research. In this sense, we invite contemporary scholars who are active in related fields to write on the topic of “Contemporary Use of Chinese Classical Literature Resources”. This issue of a series of articles, the United States, Dr. Harvard University, Hong Kong City University Professor Zhang Longxi’s “Theory of Literature and Chinese Classical Literature” is intended to combine their own “Tao and Logos” a book on the current International Sinology and Western theoretical achievements in the field of Chinese classical literature put forward their own views, its emphasis is how to correctly use the theory and method of China and western hermeneutics. Mr. Fang Hanwen, a professor at Suzhou University, focuses his field of vision on one of the focuses of the current discussion, namely, how to set a new model for the history of Chinese literature. Professor Nankai University, Mr. Ning Jiayu, put forward his own views on the cross-cultural thematic studies in the study of ancient Chinese literature. In recent years, the thematic methodology has been quite popular in the study of Chinese classical literature and comparative literature. How to treat its gains and losses and localize it, and how to create a narrative culture with Chinese characteristics are the important issues raised in this article. It is also not surprising that Professor Ge Xiaoyin from Peking University conducted a reflection from the perspective of broad-based studies of Chinese learning, which attracted more scholars’ attention. The difference between this group of articles and the commonly used writing style lies in the fact that the authors present their own ideas based on their actual research results and do not stop talking about what should be done in a broad sense or whether there is a heated debate on a particular point of view. This is not necessarily a theoretical discourse model that is of considerable importance to the literary research community since it entered the 21st century. Ultimately, it is not about advocating “problems” or “doctrines,” but the performance of research can tell everything. Of course, we still continue to publish articles in various forms and opinions, which may also include controversial views with the aim of promoting the interdisciplinary and pluralistic study of classical literature.
