词汇是语言的基石。调查发现:高职生对词汇的掌握多依赖于机械记忆,同时高职院校的词汇教学大多止于词义的解释。概念隐喻理论作为人类认知的基本形式,是人类理解世界和形成概念的工具;它同时是词义演变的主要依据。本文将概念隐喻理论应用于高职英语词汇教学中,探讨概念隐喻与高职英语词汇教学的关系,从而改革现有的教学方法。
Vocabulary is the cornerstone of language. The survey found that the mastery of vocabulary by higher vocational students mostly depends on mechanical memory, while the vocabulary teaching in higher vocational colleges mostly ends in word meaning explanation. As the basic form of human cognition, conceptual metaphor theory is a tool for mankind to understand the world and form concepts. It is also the main basis for the evolution of word meaning. This article applies concept metaphor theory to English vocabulary teaching in higher vocational colleges, discusses the relationship between conceptual metaphor and English vocabulary teaching in higher vocational colleges, and reforms existing teaching methods.
