It has always been the goal pursued by the people to translate the translation of “translation into quasi-translation.” However, translations that are absolutely faithful to the original text do not exist. This article analyzes the phenomenon of “translation is not accurate” from Sapir-Wolfe’s hypothesis, Quine’s “uncertainty of translation” argument, contemporary hermeneutics and Piaget’s Epistemology of Creation, and concludes that : “Translation is not allowed” is not always negative, and sometimes has its indispensable positive role. In addition, from the perspective of cultural exchange, we discuss the different situations of “no translation”. Finally, the article mentions the difference between “intentional translation error” and “translation error”.
