在组合刀具专用铣床上使用本夹具加工的工件,是薄壁、中空、刚性差、框架式结构的铸铁件。毛坯本身既有铸造变形又有平面不平度,工艺基准只能选用毛坯面,根据设计要求,两端上下面加工后,不平行度要求不大于0.05毫米(图1)。因此,用一般基准面三点定面的原理对此工件不适宜,过定位工作更容易夹压变形,为了避免过定位又能增加接触平稳性,故设计成全活动支点夹具。
