章太炎主张以“训诂求是”来救文弊,反对表象主义,反对俪词华采和虚言夸语。这从表面上看,有反修辞的倾向。其实不然,相反,他对文学修辞提出了更高的要求。其所论之“训说求是”之文,即注、解、论体、杂文以及历史、典章等质朴之文体。章太炎对“训说求是”之文的重视,是对质实文风的认同。究其原因,首先是他基于对言语、文字关系的认识;第二是其朴学家的身份所致。
Zhang Taiyan advocated “training and seeking ” to save the evil, against representationalism, against the words and criticism Huahuo boast rhetoric. This is ostensibly anti-rhetorical. The reason, first of all, is based on his understanding of the relationship between words and words; the second is caused by his identity as a prodigal.
