《祝福》中祥林嫂对我们说:“人死之后可有鬼魂吗?”这个没有解答的问题是如此地沾有恐惧阴沉的尘埃,它无声地覆盖了我们寄于肉体腐烂之后的最后一块希望的心田,让所有的应答者陷入一片黑暗之中时,都会在心底生出类似的疑问与惊恐。到底什么是黑暗?什么是魔鬼?什么是恐惧?这一切疑问往往生于远离光明与喧闹感受稀缺的荒芜之地。而在世界上没有什么能比地下室更具代表的地方了。所以陀斯妥耶夫斯基说:“一切黑暗阴沉的疑问都在这里得到解答。”如果说地下室的一切会滋生出黑暗的话,那么在黑暗中观察周围环境的人往往就是现实中的异质。如果这个人永远呆在地下室中而且热爱黑暗的话,那么这个人就异质得一发而不可收拾且永不变质。当代的世俗中难以发现,但当我们追溯过去时,我们发现陀斯妥耶夫斯基就是一只呆在黑暗中无人察觉但永不变质的椰子。

It is difficult to find in the contemporary world, but as we trace back, we find Dostoyevsky a coconut that is unnoticed but never perishable in darkness.
