Recently, the economic situation has improved in Russia and Eastern European countries. The economy in most countries has begun to recover and has grown. In 1996, with the exception of Bulgaria, Ukraine, and Slovenia, Russia and Hungary have already stopped recession, and other countries have increased by 2.5 to 6.8%. The main economic conditions in Russia and Eastern Europe in 1996 are detailed in the table below. With the economic recovery and development, the electronics industry in Russia and Eastern European countries has also seen some improvement. According to statistics, in 1996, the total output value of electronics industry in 10 countries in Eastern Europe was US$8.183 billion.
