This paper introduces a three-dimensional inversion process of grid gravity and magnetic data. Field inversion is based on the assumption that anomalies originate from fluctuations in the interface between two different densities (or susceptibilities). Constraints derived from geology, drilling and other geophysical data (eg, earthquakes) can be entered before either the inversion of the geometry of the interface or the inversion of the physical properties of the interface.
