In November 1952, I got a transcript from a doctor who returned to England from Quanzhou, Fujian province about two years ago. His Chinese friend gave him many pictures of Buddhism, Muslims and Christian rock carvings collected by him in recent years and hoped to be published in the West. Suddenly I recognize that there are 15 undoubtedly Christian crosses, of which there are five angels on both sides, seven with many inscriptions. In addition, there is a collection by the stone collector Wu Wenliang << Quanzhou Ancient Stone Set Preface. >> The book was sent to Professor A. Moule and asked him to help translate some of Wu’s monographs and contact other relevant scholars to decipher these stone texts and determine the implications of these new findings. I think it is better to be grateful to him for the great help than the end of each citation quoted.
