建筑节能越来越被重视,也被赋予了更多新的内涵,如绿色建筑、生态建筑、低碳建筑、零能耗建筑、超低能耗建筑、近零能耗建筑直至今后的正能量建筑等。如果节能是核心基础,建筑节能就是技术手段:例如让围护结构六面体的墙、窗、屋面、地面性能提高以减少能源消耗;让用能设备系统效率提高发挥最大的作用;在建筑中引入可再生能源或者说可再生能源与建筑一体化替代常规商品化石能源;加强运行和管理节能并促进人的行为节能。
