当在海上检修船舶尾轴管的工作密封件时,需要使用应急密封。应急密封不仅要非常可靠,而且也要能起工作密封的作用,这是因为万一工作密封失效而无法修复时,船将不得不在海上航行短时间内使用应急密封。常用的应急密封为空心橡胶密封圈,从内部施加压力使中空橡胶膨胀而起密封作用。与此相反,最近研制的密封应用了一个简单的 O 形密封圈状的橡胶圈。这是一种新方法,压力从外侧施加在 O 形圈上,使其均匀地向轴表面收缩,从而产生密封作用。一系列试验结果证实,与常规型相比,新型应急密封除能起工作密封作用之外,可靠性和稳定性更好,性能更优越。
Emergency sealing is required when servicing the working seal of the stern tube of the ship at sea. The emergency seal is not only very reliable, but it also functions as a working seal because the ship will have to use the emergency seal shortly after sea voyage in case the work seal fails and can not be repaired. The commonly used emergency seal is a hollow rubber seal that exerts pressure from the inside to expand the hollow rubber to seal. In contrast, recently developed seals employ a simple O-ring seal. This is a new approach where pressure is exerted on the O-ring from the outside, causing it to contract evenly toward the shaft surface, creating a seal. A series of test results confirmed that, compared with the conventional type, the new emergency seal in addition to the role of the work of sealing, reliability and stability better, superior performance.
