蚋(音rui)是双翅目丝角亚目蚋科(simuliidae)的一种昆虫。体小,足粗短,翅宽阔,胸背驼,通常体呈黑色,长约2～5毫米。只有雌蚋会吸血,主要吸食温血脊椎动物如家畜、家禽和其他野生动物和鸟类的血液。有的种类兼食人血,而且还会传播某些疾病。蚋大多见之于山区,平原地区较少。全世界都有纳的分布,已定种的约有12。。种以上。Fallis(1964)报告能叮人的纳约有100种。我国纳估计有50种左右。
