医学英语教学是专门用途英语教学的一个重要分支,了解医学生对医学英语学习的真实需求,才能更有效地服务于学生的语言学习。根据对川北医学院本科医学生的问卷调查和半结构性访谈发现,大多数学习者意识到医学英语对其职业发展的重要性,对专业文献阅读能力的提高有强烈的需求。此外,大多数医学生认为教材专业性太强,缺少情景模拟练习,应该加强教材中真实语料和真实任务的编写,并适当增加多媒体辅助材料,激发其学习自主性。
Medical English teaching is an important branch of English for special purpose teaching. Understanding the real needs of medical students for medical English learning can effectively serve students’ language learning. According to questionnaires and semi-structured interviews with undergraduate medical students at the Northern Sichuan Medical College, most learners are aware of the importance of medical English to their professional development and have a strong need for improvement of professional literature reading ability. In addition, most medical students believe that textbooks are too specialized, and they lack the practice of simulation. They should strengthen the compilation of real materials and real tasks in textbooks, and appropriately increase the use of multimedia materials to stimulate their learning autonomy.
