Anxiety is considered by many linguists to be the most emotional factor that hinders English learning. Many researches and teaching practices have shown that anxiety has an impact on English listening, speaking, reading, writing, and translating skills, and has the greatest impact on the discussion. Students with low self-evaluation are more likely to have anxious feelings in spoken English, and they are mainly reflected in the oral expression: lack of accuracy and fluency in language. This paper analyzes the influence of anxiety on students’ oral English, discusses the causes of anxiety for vocational students, and proposes corresponding coping strategies.
