For a long time, democratic centralism, as the fundamental organizational principle and organizational system of the working class parties, has been practiced for the Communist parties in all countries, including the Chinese Communist Party. In recent years, the cause of world socialism has suffered serious setbacks. The drastic changes in the political conditions of some ruling Communists and countries have correspondingly abandoned democratic centralism. This situation is objectively a severe test of whether or not the Chinese Communists can adhere to the principle of democratic centralism. At present, there are some problems that need to be solved both in theory and in practice in implementing the democratic centralism within our party.
