Structural steel quenching (continuous cooling or isothermal cooling), due to insufficient hardenability, in addition to the formation of martensite, but also the formation of non-martensitic transformation products (bainite, ferrite - pearlite mixture). It is well known that there is pearlite-ferrite structure in quenched steel, which deteriorates the performance of structural steel after tempering at high temperature. There is little research on the influence of the amount of non-martensite transformation products on the fracture resistance in quenched structural steels. Obviously, the microstructure of steel has a very important effect on the fracture resistance, thus affecting the structural strength and reliability of the steel. This article attempts to assess the effect of the amount of non-martensitic transformation products on the brittleness and ductile fracture resistance in hardened steel, the microstructure of the hardened steel being continuously cooled by austenite and so on
