西安美术学院雕塑系的教学传统、是以发扬陕西区位文化优势——即周秦汉唐文化传统为基础特色的。长期以来,形成了一套有别于其他院校的教学体系与教学传统,也产生了一批卓有成就的雕塑家,这是西安美院雕塑系应以坚持的长处所在。但是时代的资讯发达与信息传递的速度所形成的“无时差化”,使全球任何角落里的人,都不再因地域的阻隔而构成先后的今天,将每个无论师生的个人都推上了同一的平台。这无疑是一场考验教育智慧的挑战! The teaching tradition of the sculpture department of Xi’an Academy of Fine Arts is based on the promotion of Shaanxi’s regional cultural superiority - that is, the Zhou Qin, Han, Tang dynasties’ cultural traditions.
