Since the 1980s, the Yearbook School, an important representative of Western historiography, has become a hot spot for Chinese historians, and the research results are abundant. Relatively speaking, the issue of the international influence of the Yearbook School is not valued by researchers. The existing research often stays in the general view that the Yearbook School has received a worldwide positive response and is therefore misleading. The negative responses of the historians of Europe, the United States and the Soviet historians to the Yearbook School have even deliberately contradict each other. This shows that the course of the Yearbook School went to the world is not a one-way journey. Political ideology, academic and cultural traditions have greatly restricted the expansion and effect of the international influence of the Yearbook School.
