测定３３例老年人多器官衰竭（ＭＯＦＥ）血浆内皮素（ＥＴ）水平，结果表明，ＭＯＦＥ组血浆ＥＴ明显高于正常对照组及慢性心、脑血管病组，（Ｐ＜０．００１）；ＭＯＦＥ组血浆ＥＴ水平依累及器官的数目增多而显著增多（Ｐ＜０．０１），２２例ＭＯＦＥ好转期血浆ＥＴ显著低于衰竭期，（Ｐ＜０．００１），提示ＥＴ在ＭＯＦＥ的发生发展中可能起着重要作用，动态观察血浆ＥＴ水平是诊断和监测ＭＯＦＥ的一项重要指标。
The plasma levels of endothelin (ET) in 33 elderly patients with multiple organ failure (MOFE) were measured. The results showed that ET in the MOFE group was significantly higher than that in the normal control group and chronic heart and cerebrovascular disease group (P <0.001) (P <0.01). ET in 22 patients with MOFE was significantly lower than that in patients with failure (P <0.001), suggesting that ET may play an important role in the development of MOFE May play an important role in the dynamic observation of plasma ET levels is an important indicator of diagnosis and monitoring of MOFE.
