2013年12月23日,北京现代年销售100万辆/累计销售500万5辆庆典暨品牌战略发布会活动在北京举行。随着北京现代领导走上台前,按下500万和100万纪念灯牌,北京现代正式迈过“双百万”产销两大关,成为继上海大众、一汽大众之后,国内第三个单一品牌年销过百万的汽车企业。双百万辉煌2008年2月,随着第100万5辆汽车途胜驶下生产线,成立不足六年的北京现代迎来了其第一个百万辆记录。两年后,2010年4月北京现代第200万辆车正式下线:2011年8月,仅16个月时间,北京现代再次突破累计产销300万关口。2012年11月,刚刚度过十周岁生日的北京现代,迎来了第400万辆车的下线,并正式开启了以“现代品牌”为核心发展方向的新十年历程。今天,历时13月之后,北京现代再度突破累计销售500万辆大关。在实现累计产销500万辆的同时,北京现代也圆满达成年产销百万辆的目标。
