昆曲的保护与传承是一个重要话题。昆曲《佳期》所面临的问题,不是单一剧目所遇到的问题,它是戏曲表演艺术随时代发展过程中,始终要面对的问题。沈世华、钮镖与吴小如三位先生共同努力,使《佳期》可作为教学与演出剧目传承下去。随着《佳期》表演文学的变化,其表演层次也随之发生了变化,并成为中国戏曲学院京剧与昆曲表演专业必修的教学剧目。社会在变,教师与学生作为社会的人也在变,“口传心授”、“口传心受”作为戏曲表演教育传承的最基本方法是不变的,变的是传授者在了解传承对象的基础上,创造性的调动和运用多变传播技术与手段。
