OBJECTIVE: To observe the effects of Cedemex on monoamine neurotransmitters in different brain regions of morphine-dependent rats. METHODS: Dopamine (DA) in four areas of the ventral tegmental area (VTA), hippocampus, cerebral cortex, and nucleus accumbens (NAc) were measured by reversed-phase high performance liquid chromatography with fluorescence detection. The content of norepinephrine (NE) and serotonin (5-HT). Results: The monoamine neurotransmitters of DA, NE and 5-HT in morphine-dependent rats were disordered, and their contents were significantly higher than normal. Cedemex can promote the content of monoamine neurotransmitters such as DA, NE, and 5-HT in the brain regions after morphine-dependent withdrawal. CONCLUSIONS: Monoamine transmitters (DA, NE, 5-HT) may play an important role in morphine dependence. Cedemex improves the content of monoamine neurotransmitters in the brain of morphine-dependent rats, which may be the clinical treatment of Cedemex. One of the mechanisms.
