To sum up, this 532m tower reflects the true features of a modern skyscraper. The tower is actually like a vertical city. It has a total area of more than 370,000 m2, including parking lots, commercial and retail, office buildings, apartments, hotels and entertainment facilities. These functions are brought together by a flat area of 4102m~2 to 1025m~2 and a variety of flat layouts. The ground floor is a square plane with a length of 64m. As the building continues to rise, the plane continues to retreat and rotate to form a smaller square. The retreat of the building’s plane combined with the diagonal steel supports create free and flexible conditions for handling the building’s size and architectural form. (Figure 1) Design Ideas Today’s buildings must be economically viable, habitable, and easy to build efficiently. For high-rise buildings, when economic constraints and land restrictions become the main determinants of design, flexible forms and more efficient building systems are indispensable. To study the height limit of high-rise buildings is to solve this continuous urbanization difficulty
