Pearl S. Buck is a bridge between Chinese and Western cultures, but its unique dual cultural identity makes it difficult for her works to be fully accepted by any cultural group. We should objectively interpret Lu Xun’s criticism of Pearl S. Buck in the context of development from a development dynamic perspective. Pearl S. Buck (1892-1973), a famous American writer, received the Pulitzer Prize in 1932 for his work “The Great Earth,” describing the status quo of Chinese peasants. He was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1938 and became the United States The first woman to win this award in history and the only writer who won both the Pulitzer Prize and the Nobel Prize for literature, is reputed to be “the most influential Western writer describing China since Marco Polo in the 13th century ”.
