慢性中耳炎、迷路炎后迷路骨化、内耳畸形致聋者均不适合行多导电极蜗内埋植术。作者根据:(1)蜗外刺激耳蜗的不同部位可产生某些音调识别现象;(2)多导电极蜗外刺激效果优于单导电极蜗外刺激;(3)蜗外电极埋植术不受中耳炎影响等原理设计了墨尔本/耳蜗多导电极蜗外埋植装置。此装置可用于不适宜行蜗内埋植的聋人。墨尔本/耳蜗多导电极蜗外埋植装置由1个接受-刺激器,经1导线连接6个电极组成。
