桃小食心虫在丹东地区山楂园普遍发生,一般虫果率达20—30％重者达50％。以上,严重地影响了山楂的产量和品质。为寻求防治山楂园桃小食心虫有效方法,丹东市农科所与岫岩、宽甸县有关单位协作,进行了山楂园桃小食心虫的发生规律及防治试验,收到了较好效果,防治地块虫果率下降到3.3％。1986和1987年,宽甸县、岫岩县对57.6万株山楂结果树进行了防治,仅此一项增加收入43.77万元。
