Editorial Comrades: I read the article “Question on how to explain the voltage in junior high school” in the September issue of the Bulletin of the Physics of 1954, agreeing with the argument in the article: 1. According to the comparison, the introduction of the concept of voltage completely fails to convince the students that Conductor “should have” voltage. 2. This concept of voltage has no connection with any other concept of electricity, thus leaving students with no real understanding of the concept of voltage. Conversely, to make it easy to introduce a new concept to students, one should take note and consider: (1) Students should be made aware of why this new concept should be introduced. (2) Students should be guided to observe the analysis from the phenomena that they have learned to be intrinsically linked to this concept, and then put forward the concept properly.
