通过原子转移自由基聚合(ATRP)制备了含环氧侧基的聚苯乙烯。首先用对羟基苯甲醛和环氧氯丙烷反应制备4-(2,3-环氧丙氧基)苯甲醛(EBD),然后通过Wittig反应将醛基转化为乙烯基得到含环氧基团的功能性单体苯乙烯基环氧丙基醚(SGE),最后用ATRP方法聚合单体SGE得到含环氧侧基的聚苯乙烯。所得聚合物分子量可控,分子量分布较窄。
Polystyrene with epoxy side groups was prepared by atom transfer radical polymerization (ATRP). 4- (2,3-epoxypropoxy) benzaldehyde (EBD) is first prepared by the reaction of p-hydroxybenzaldehyde and epichlorohydrin and the aldehyde group is then converted to a vinyl group by the Wittig reaction to obtain an epoxy group-containing Functional monomer styrene epoxypropyl ether (SGE), and finally polymerizing the monomer SGE by the ATRP method to obtain the polystyrene containing epoxy side groups. The resulting polymer has a controlled molecular weight and a narrow molecular weight distribution.
